PSEG turned the power off late Friday night. Called Andrew early Saturday afternoon on a recommendation from a friend. He came within one hour to take a look at my circuit box and gave me an estimate within 2 hours. We agreed on the job and his workers were at my house 1st thing Monday morning and had the power restored in 1 day after upgrading the circuit panel. They completed the outside wiring on Tuesday with minimal power loss. Very professional and would recommend them.
I hired Popkin Electric because I had to redo the work of a cheaper company that I found in the pennysaver. The salesman was nice but when the worker showed up 2 hours late and he looked very "Unprofessional and inexperienced" . The wiring was ugly and not "Clean looking or neat" When the inspector came over to inspect the wiring he made me redo some of the work because he said they used plastic boxes which were not Ground properly. (Code in Huntington is a Metal Box) When Popkin came over they redid all of the work . It was a night and day difference from the other company. The work looks neat and professional.
Andrew Popkin really knows his work. One wall of our kitchen lost all power. I tried resetting breakers in the main panel, but nothing worked. I talked to Andrew on the phone and I sent him a photo of my two breaker panels -- none of the switches were labeled. He took one look and told me exactly which one to reset. "I"ll bet you ten dollars that just fixed your problem," he said. Sure enough, the lights, toaster, and microwave were working again. No charge!
I would highly recommend them to anyone.
